I had just missed the steam train depart and thought that I had missed the shot I wanted. However, with an empty platform it allowed me to see the symmetry of the station roof that would have perhaps gone unnoticed.
After parking at Moel Siabod Cafe I took off for a short hike through the forrest, not really knowing what lay ahead. But the hike itself reminded me of boyhood hikes through the Welsh mountains with plenty of waterfalls. After the pathway ended I pushed thruogh hoping that a view down a valley would open up. This vista was the prize that awaited.
The Henly Street bridge is beautiful at night and a true icon of Knoxville that is usually overlooked for the Sunsphere. I spent some time wondering if there was a place that the two could be combined, the result was this shot.
Washingtion DC is a photographers playground and one of my favorite city’s to visit. This photograph from inside the Thomas Jefferson Memorial was taken on a cold but sunny afternoon after a brisk walk around the tidal basin. There always seems to be a beautiful tranquility here.
