Capturing ligHT…….

Photography is the art of capturing reflected light from every day events, helping us to keep memories from key moments of our lives. For as long as I can remember I have always had a passion for photography and recording these moments in time. One of my main influences was a family member who would lend me their equipment to take to Cosford Air Shows or family vacations as a young teenager. The first SLR I shot with was a Minolta Dynax and I loved it. For my 18th birthday my Mom bought me one of my own and I have never looked back since, taking a camera with me wherever I travelled. Times and circumstances change though, I now live on a different continent and shoot with a Canon 5D mkIV but I still keep that Minolta in a safe place as a reminder of where I got started.

Great Expectations is based in Knoxville Tennessee, a place that our family is proud to call home (including Jasper our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). Living by the Great Smokey Mountains provides so many different opportunities for shooting throughout all four seasons. Landscapes and nature are my true passion, but I have begun to branch out more after finding inspiration from architecture, all forms of water and also helping people achieve their own ambitions.
